Industrial Disease

One of the leading industrial disease specialists in the country our Department provides a unique specialist service with a quality and resource not usually found in a comparable law firm. The team advises on areas including: RSI; passive smoking; occupational stress claims; VWF; asbestos claims; dermatitis and other skin related claims and psychiatric claims.

Employer Liability

We handle the full range of employers' liability claims on behalf of both insurers and large self-insured companies from occupiers liability and health and safety regulation through to issues involving independent contractors.

Transport

Our specialists have expertise in all areas of transport advising on the complex claims often arising out of transport accidents. We handle high profile litigation relating to major rail disasters, as well as a large volume of low to medium value motor claims, where our main aim is to seek an early resolution, whenever possible.

Motor and Fleet

The team handle third party claims for a number of insurers, claims handlers and self-insureds. Our specialists have expertise in all aspects of motor and fleet work including larger vehicle damage claims, fatalities and inquests, credit hire claims, MIB matters and motor injury claims. Environmental and Pollution

The Department has significant experience in advising on these claims in relation to a variety of industries. Our experience includes one of the largest multi-party toxic tort actions in the UK. We also handle highly technical cases arising out of the chemical industry as well as multi-party pollution claims following construction and development work.

Public Liability

We act for insurers of local authorities on a wide variety of claims in relation to the common law and statutory duties of these authorities. Our significant experience in advising insurers and large self insured companies in relation to their public liability claims ensures that our clients receive cost-effective, speedy resolution of claims.

Health and Safety Prosecutions

The Department deals with all aspects of health and safety prosecutions, including prosecutions against companies, individual Directors and Officers and policyholders.

Police Claims

The Department boasts a well regarded Police and Emergency Services Team known for its thoroughness and robust approach to defending such claims. These claims include assault, false imprisonment, wrongful arrest and misfeasance in public office, in addition to employers' liability, motor claims and those relating to seizure of goods.
