Halliwells Advises New PLC Client

Halliwells has advised office2office plc (o2o), a leading business supplies and managed services company, on its entry into the secure document destruction market by entering into a joint venture with Manchester-based Shred Easy Limited (Shred Easy).

The team at Halliwells was led by corporate partner Sue Russell and corporate associate Richard McKay.

Shred Easy was advised by Sarah Walton from Mace & Jones.

The JV company, Banner Document Management Services Ltd (BDMS) will utilise the o2o site network across UK and Ireland coupled with the existing plant facilities and infrastructure of Shred Easy. BDMS will collect and securely shred confidential documents on customers' own premises, using mobile shredding units to ensure maximum control and convenience.   

Simon Moate, Chief Executive Officer of o2o, said: "This step presents a significant and sustainable organic growth opportunity for the o2o group. The blend of expertise, resource and commercial opportunity that each party brings to this new venture provides the necessary ingredients for a successful business."
