Solid Financial Performance From Halliwells

Law firm Halliwells has recorded turnover of £87 million for the 2007 / 2008 financial year.

"Economic conditions remain uncertain but the multi-disciplinary nature of the firm allows us to enter the new financial year with confidence," said managing partner, Ian Austin.

Halliwells has more than doubled in size in the last four years. In 2003 / 2004 the firm's turnover was £36 million. Since then, Halliwells has successfully completed two mergers and added more than £50 million to its turnover.

Halliwells also appointed seven new partners and sixteen new associates in its latest round of internal promotions. The promotions became effective on 1 May 2008.

Said senior partner, Alec Craig:

"We enter the new financial year in a positive mindset."
