Halliwells Grows Property Finance Expertise
Law firm Halliwells has enhanced its property finance offering with the recruitment of a specialist team of five lawyers, headed by partner George MacMillan.
In addition to George MacMillan, the team is made up of partner Margaret Norton, associates Claire Hamilton and Alison Kellitt and solicitor Katie Ridehalgh. All five join from Cobbetts.
George MacMillan has a wide range of real estate experience. For over a decade he has acted for and advised retail, leisure and banking clients on site acquisitions as well as general commercial property, including property management and commercial lease negotiations.
Latterly George led a specialist team at Cobbetts which undertook property finance work on behalf of a wide range of commercial lender clients.
Commenting on his appointment, George MacMillan said:
"Our aim is to build the region's leading property finance department.
"The firm has a first rate reputation for banking and real estate work and there is huge potential to take its property finance offering onto a whole new level."
