Planning For The Future

Law firm Halliwells has advised property client Glossop Land Ltd on a comprehensive town centre redevelopment - the regeneration of the Howard Town Mills site in Glossop, the key strategic site in the centre of Glossop.

Agreements were exchanged between Glossop Land Ltd, Sainsbury's Supermarkets Limited and Evans & Reid Ltd - paving the way for a planning application to be made to High Peaks Borough Council.

The four phase proposed regeneration is envisaged to include a J Sainsbury food store, a residential scheme, a mixed use residential, leisure and retail scheme and further residential provision.

Halliwells' team was headed by partner and head of real estate, Mike Edge along with associate Jon Mason. Glossop Land was also advised by Mike Ryan of the Ryan Partnershiprebe and Paul Nichols of Nichols & Co.

Sainsbury's Supermarkets Limited was advised by John Leake of Addleshaw Goddard and David Gladding of Altrincham law firm Collings advised Evans & Reid Ltd.
